Bread Drive
March 1
Free
The Eastridge COTN Bread Drive is a community outreach initiative led by Eastridge Church of the Nazarene to support learners at local schools in the Eastridge area. Many children arrive at school hungry, which makes it difficult for them to focus, learn, and participate fully in their education. Through this bread drive, the church works together with volunteers, partners, and sponsors to provide fresh bread and sandwiches to schools so that learners can receive a simple but meaningful meal.
Members of the church gather to prepare the bread with care spreading, packing, and praying over the food before it is delivered. The bread is then taken to the school and handed to the principal or staff, who distribute it to the learners in a respectful and organized way. This ensures that children who may not have enough to eat at home can still have something during the school day.
Beyond meeting a physical need, the bread drive is also about showing compassion, unity, and hope within the community. It gives local residents, businesses, and volunteers the opportunity to contribute. Whether by donating bread, spreads, funds, or their time. Together, the Eastridge community becomes part of a shared mission to care for its children and support their future.
The initiative reflects the church’s belief that small acts of kindness can make a big difference. By feeding learners and encouraging partnerships, the Eastridge Bread Drive helps strengthen the community while reminding every child that they are valued and supported. 🍞🤝📚
